SITE ANALYSIS

既有工廠分割了基地東西兩側的田野，阻斷了兩側生活場域的連結。在初期的設計操作上，生活場域將由兩側逐漸蔓延滲透進工廠空間，使生活機能穿梭在基地內各個場域裡，同時兩邊的生活場域透過基地有了連結。

The existing factory divides the fields on the east and west sides of the site, blocking the connection between the living areas on both sides. In the initial design operation, the living areas will gradually spread from both sides and penetrate into the factory space, allowing the living functions to shuttle through various fields in the base. At the same time, the living areas on both sides are connected through the base.

基地屬於清水產業園區的規劃之一。由於鄰近市區，所以相較於其他產業園區，使用者性質會更多元。清水富足的水源孕育了大片的農田與自然生態，同時港口和機場的設置活絡了當地進出口貿易的經濟產值，清水的地理資源對於農田及工廠都能帶來許多優勢及機會；處在彼此互相衝突的時代背景，兩者都有存在的必要，思考下一步如何發展是我們要面對的課題。

The base is part of the plan of Qingshui Industrial Park. Due to its proximity to the urban area, the nature of users will be more diverse compared to other industrial parks. Qingshui’s abundant water sources have nurtured large tracts of farmland and natural ecology. At the same time, the establishment of ports and airports has activated the economic output of local import and export trade. Qingshui’s geographical resources can bring many advantages and opportunities to farmland and factories; they are in close proximity to each other. In the era of conflict, it is necessary for both to exist. Thinking about how to develop next is a topic we have to face.

Urban Context

基地周遭以不同分區性質的交界帶形成三條軸線，其中以產業為主的軸線將工業區和農田、住宅區在現階段劃分成互相衝突的割裂狀態。

Three axes are formed around the base with junction zones of different zoning characteristics. Among them, the axis dominated by industry divides the industrial area, farmland, and residential areas into conflicting and fragmented states at this stage.

Water System

紡織業屬於重度用水工業，基地用水主要取自五福圳延伸進基地內部的兩條支流及地下水。

The textile industry is an industry that uses heavy water. The water used in the base mainly comes from two tributaries extending into the base in Wufuzhen and groundwater.

Raw Materials Distribution

利用清水身為農業重鎮的特質，將農廢料作為紡織原料之一，替當地農業廢棄物創造另一份新的價值。

Taking advantage of Qingshui's characteristics as an agricultural town, agricultural waste is used as one of the textile raw materials to create another new value for local agricultural waste.

基地周遭特質空間

大甲媽祖繞境進香活動是清水年度盛事，而基地剛好為大甲媽祖停駐點之一，每年都有許多香客在此停留。基地橫跨道路兩側，並且緊鄰工廠、農田、住宅，想藉由串連兩側基地的手法，將周遭常民生活引入基地內。自行車使用者也可以從原本的五福圳步道駛入重構後工廠。

The Dajia Mazu pilgrimage is an annual event in Qingshui, and the base happens to be one of the stopping points for Dajia Mazu. Many pilgrims stop here every year. The base spans both sides of the road and is close to factories, farmland, and residences. By connecting the bases on both sides, we want to introduce the daily life of the surrounding people into the base. Cyclists can also enter the reconstructed factory from the original Wufuzhen Trail.

工廠現況分析

Factory current situation analysis

目前既有工廠最需要處理的即是環境相關問題。傳統工廠排放廢水、廢氣、廢煙引起居民相當大的反感；潮濕、悶熱的工作環境也對長期於廠房內的工作者不友善。

利用構築手法處理環境問題是本次設計想嘗試的內容之一，希望能夠透過建築本身降低對周遭環境的危害，並創造適合人類即動植物生活的友善空間。

At present, what existing factories most need to deal with are environmental-related issues. Traditional factories emit waste water, exhaust gas, and waste smoke, which has caused considerable resentment among residents; the humid and stuffy working environment is also unfriendly to workers who work in factories for a long time.

Using architectural techniques to deal with environmental issues is one of the things we want to try in this design. We hope to reduce the harm to the surrounding environment through the building itself and create a friendly space suitable for human beings, animals and plants.
